نشأت دايان كاندميل في كولومبيا، وغادرت المنزل في سن 17 لدراسة القانون في جامعة FMU في ساو باولو بالبرازيل، لكنها قررت بعد ثلاث سنوات ترك الدراسة واتّباع مسارها الإبداعي. انتقلت إلى الولايات المتحدة لدراسة تاريخ الفن في سان فرانسيسكو - كاليفورنيا حيث بدأت مشوارها في صناعة المجوهرات والحقائب. من ثم، انتقلت دايان إلى لندن لدراسة التجارة المرئية في كلية لندن للأزياء المرموقة وقدّمت تصاميمها تحت العلامة التجارية التي تحمل الاسم نفسه الآن، دايان كانداميل.

Dayan Candamil: قضيت طفولتي في كولومبيا، ونشأت وسط مزارع البن والجبال الخضراء والأشخاص الموهوبين جداً. غادرت كولومبيا عندما كان عمري 17 عاماً إلى البرازيل ومن بعدها إلى الولايات المتحدة لمواصلة دراستي.
أطلقت علامتي التجارية Dayan Candamil Accessories في عام 2010، وحقّقت نجاحاً كبيراً لأنها منتج فريد وحصري للغاية وله مساحة خاصة في سوق المنتجات الفاخرة، لا سيما في الشرق الأوسط حيث لدينا عملائنا الأكثر ولاءً. في عام 2017، أطلقت أول مجموعة مجوهرات لي لمواصلة تقاليدنا مع المجوهرات، والآن House of Candamil، التي ولدت بعد سنوات عديدة من التنقل وكانت عملية طبيعية للغاية. أسافر كثيراً، وعندما أقول إنني أسافر ليس وفقاً لمعايير السفر العادية، أعني أنني أسافر طوال الوقت.
في تلك الرحلات على مدار سنوات عديدة، تواصلت مع فنانين عظماء من جميع أنحاء العالم، يصنعون التحف من مصر، والسيراميك في صقلية، والتطريز في المغرب، والأقمشة من البندقي... أحب استكشاف المنسوجات الجديدة، والسيراميك، والخزف، والبياضات، وما إلى ذلك، لذلك بعد سنوات عديدة من القيام بذلك، يبدو أن House of candamil كان خطوة طبيعية كنت أستعد لها طوال حياتي.

Dayan Candamil: الموضة فن، الفن الذي نعيش فيه حياتنا، فن الحياة اليومية. الموضة تتغذّى من الفن والعكس صحيح.
ELLE Arabia: من هو قدوتك؟
Dayan Candamil: لدي عدد قليل من الناس أتطلع إليهم. ربما تكون والدتي هي رقم واحد، في كل مرة أحتاج فيها إلى الإلهام، أنظر إليها فقط. إنها تحمل كل الصفات التي أحبها في الإنسان، وخاصةً في المرأة. إنها أيضاً أكثر شخص أعرفه إبداعاً. أنا معجبة أيضًا بمعظم أصدقائي، فهم موهوبون جداً وكلهم ناجحون جداً في مشاريعهم الخاصة، وهذا هو مصدر الهام بالنسبة لي! لقد ألهموني لأبذل قصارى جهدي كل يوم.

في تعريف أكثر عمقاً، فإن النجاح بالنسبة لي هو العيش بأصالة وشغف. أن يكون لديك عائلة تفتخري بها، وأن تستمتعي بالأصدقاء والحرية لإلهام الناس وترك بصمة جيدة.

I launched my brand Dayan Candamil Accessories in 2010, and it was a great success from the start. The product itself is so unique and exclusive that it holds a special place in the luxury market, especially in the Middle East where we have our most loyal clients. I then launched my first jewelry collection in 2017, which was a natural transition as the bags were already famous for their jewelry embellishments. House of Candamil was born a couple of years later and has been a very natural process through my travels. I travel a lot. And when I say a lot, I'm not exaggerating. I travel all the

In my trips over the years I’ve connected with great artisans from around the world. From people making antiques in
Egypt to ceramics in Sicily, finding embroidery from Morocco and fabrics from Venice, you name it. I love scouting for new textiles, ceramics, porcelain, linens, etc, so after so many years of doing this, House of Candamil just seemed like

Oh there is a lot to say here, but If you ask me for advice, what I will say is FOCUS. Some young people get lost in social media, in the idea of the fashion world, and in wanting to be everywhere. You can't be everywhere! You need to spend time developing your talents and doing the hard work. Without this, people will lose respect for you . You will be another one who tried to get everything, be everywhere and failed because you lost focus on what was important. The
